Ahh The basics.. an ollie. Every boarder developes their own ollie at a certain point, but heres a few pointers for those that arent quite there yet…

It’s all about controlling the board with your bodyweight. You don’t want the board to feel like a burden against you, when a successful ollie is performed the board will actually work with you and increase your pop.

Begin by leaning back on your board by throwing your weight against it. It is best to pretend you are going for a tail manual. Once your nose is off the snow pull your back foot up and enjoy the bounce, the board will flex and create a “pop” that will act as your ollie. Now all you have to do is level your board up in the air and stick that landing.

Combine these tips with a little speed and a kicker and you will be soaring in no time.
