Before BND ceases to exist (see above post) I thought i would post one more tribute to Skateboarding by spreading the word about El Skate Shop.

Aside from being an online skate shop carrying a variety of skate products from most any brand out there, El Skate Shop is also a skateboarders destination site for so much more. From first looks you might be misled by its clean design and simple navigation. However, once you begin to dive into the site you realize that every product comes with a lot more than a price tag. We’re talking everything from product reviews, to how to apply grip tape and even the history behind some of your favorite labels.
Recently they have taken it upon themselves to start accepting videos from all you amateur skaters out there looking for a sponsorship. What’s even better is they’re putting them out there for the public to view while also showcasing the latest and greatest.
So take a minute to check them out.

I got these gloves the other day off of
www.brociety.com for around $20.00. Originally, priced for $50 I figured it was a good deal. However, before I even get started let me inform you that they are on sale at
www.backcountry.com for only $15!
First impressions of the gloves were that the colors from the online picture vs. the actual gloves are a little off. All the colors are a bit darker, including the brown and green.
They are thicker than I had expected. With a nice soft and warm fleece-like interior, these gloves will definitely keep your hands warm on a cold day. However, they are also thin and waterproof meaning they will also work great for some spring riding. No more sopping wet heavy mittens with these on my hands.
They even came with a small sample of some NIKWAX waterproofing leather wax. Rock on Burton, you may not get it right ALL the time, but you sure do a hell of a job most of the time. I would recommend the Burton Staple gloves to all my friends.

I’m pretty pumped up right now because I just placed an order at Brociety for a brand new 09 Salomon Sanchez board.
I desperately need a new board after this season, and have been watching Brociety in hopes of finding a good park board in my size. I picked this baby up for only $135.00! Can’t beat that deal with a sharpened stick.
The board is a 151, I rode a 149 for the past few seasons. i was hoping to go with a 148 but finding one for a good deal can be tough sometimes. Hopefully those 2cm won’t make too much a difference. However, with the deal I got I wouldn’t hesitate to swap the board at the end of the season if it’s not what I was hoping for.
The Saloman Sanches is a true twin tip with a light-weight wood core. Featuring great flex and even better pop, it’s sure to hold it’s own on the park next season. However I won’t officially get a real review out until then because here on the East Coast mountains are closing faster than you can say boardsanddecks.
Here’s to an extra buttery next season.

If your into boarding or skating, chances are you have either thought about or tried to capture some nasty footage of you and your friends in action. Standard point and shoot video cameras are great for most filming. However, once in awhile you come across a situation where you lose a great shot due to a shaky camera while moving.
I would like to introduce to you the GoPro® Helmet HERO.

The Helmet HERO was designed to be mounted onto any hard surface such as … well … a helmet! It comes standard with a shockproof & waterproof quick-release housing to keep all the tech inside nice and new. Meaning you could even slap this baby onto the front of your board and capture some sick powder lines without worrying about damaging anything with water.
The best part is that his little baby packs a punch for the price. Featuring a 170 degree wide angle lens, 5 megapixel camera for still shots and a decent video camera that shoots at 512×384 pixels all for UNDER $200! It also comes with various mounting adapters, straps and a 3-way pivoting arm for more control. Not good enough? Additional expansion mounts are available separately, including handlebar/seatpost, chest harness, roll bar, and surfboard mounts.

Powered by a few AAA batteries, your able to capture all your glorious moments on a standard SD card for easy camera to computer transfer. Play around with the various modes such as video, standard photo, photo every 2 or 5 secs, 3x photo burst sequence, self timer and even an upside down photo/video flip and become that professional film editor you always dreamed of.
In the end, it’s not the best video camera out there, and also not the only mountable one. However, for under $200 it’s a great piece of equipment for any serious skater or boarder looking to stand out from the crowd with some above par filming.

First off, I have to apologize for not having time to post much lately.. been a little crazy over on these hills.
However, I wanted to follow up on my post about Whiskey Militia from a few weeks back. It seems the crew dedicated to bringing you one shot deals are at it again.

Brociety is their latest installment in providing stupid cheap deals for snowboarding equipment. Same deal as before, 1 item at a time for 30 minutes at up to 80% off. However, while Whiskey tends to vary their equipment based on the season, Brociety is going to continue to offer steezy boarding equipment and clothing all year long. Now you can stock up all summer and be ready to ride come next season.
