To follow up the post about our favorite Flickr snowboard photography, BND presents the 10 most amazing skateboard shots found. Judgement was based on many factors such as composition, action, lighting and basically just how sweet that shot looked. No need for further explanation.

There are so many other good photos on Flickr, with more being uploaded everyday. I will have to post another top 10 later this year.

Matt Fries, a good friend of Boards and Decks, had a few photos taken of him standing in front of the 78 foot kicker at Okemo Mountain in Vermont. These images were then given to Ross Brier, the founder of Panty Tree Productions, and made into an 11″ x 17″ poster.

Feel free to take it to your local print shop (or Staples®) to get printed.
The file is 24mb and may take a few moments to download

They may not be completely relevant to snowboarding or skateboarding, but im posting them anyways. The snowy night shot was taken not too long ago when we had some real wet spring snow at my place, but it was nice up in the hills. The two bridge shots are on the way to Okemo Mountain. The ride along route 131 follows a nice little river with some great photo opps.
I definitely enjoy taking photos, and I wish I had my camera, a Canon Rebel XT, on me more often. However, when I do snap a few photos I cant help but manipulate them a bit. Being the Photoshop whore that I am, I always touch them up a little to get the most out of them.

I really want to start getting some boarding and skating action shots this season. I’ve been looking into fisheye lenses, but they don’t work well unless your rocking a really expensive camera. Not to mention a new lens is quite pricey to begin with.
I’m thinking my next big purchase will be a nice wide angle lense, something that can go down to 18mm if I can afford it. It would suit more purposes than a fisheye, and I know it would be a safe bet. If you have any recommendations I love to hear them.

I try not to post any photography that’s not straight from my own gallery. However, lately I have seen some AMAZING snowboard shots on the Flickr Snowboard Group. I thought it would be a good idea to share my top 10 from the past few months.
These photos do not belong to me and each photo links back to its original gallery.
Enjoy!

It goes to show not only how many amazing boarders there are out there, but there are also some very talented photographers.
